Blending Case Studies, Group Exercises and Practical Experiences
For the Instructor:
The Instructor Guide is the heart of the course from the instructor’s perspective. This
document provides instructors with in-depth support in their delivery of the course.
• A general overview and rationale for this transformational work
• The key points associated with each slide
• Discussion ideas
• Directions for how to handle all activities or exercises and debriefs
• Suggesting timings
The instructor is free to and encouraged to make the course his/her own by adding
personal examples and experiences where appropriate. In fact, the instructor is encour-
aged to keep a journal as he or she goes through the material in which personal experi-
ences are recorded. Each time you go back to the material, keep the journal handy to add more.
The instructor will receive a set of all Instructor Slides and will be given access to a six-hour recorded online session of a Grateful
Leadership course, as well as a two-hour recorded video of Instructor’s Best Practices for the course.
The instructor will also receive a set of all of the participant materials, including the Participant Workbook, including Appendices
with Exercises and Case Studies.
For the Participants:
The Participant Workbook contains images of the slides used in the course and notes and comments that explain or go into more
depth on the slide contents. The workbook is used in the classroom for keeping the participants focused on the content and as a
place to make notes. After the class, the workbook becomes a resource to remind participants what they have learned and to use
with applying the new knowledge and skills gained from attending the course. The workbook also includes Appendices with a set
of Exercises and Case Studies.
Each participant also gets a copy of the Grateful Leadership hard cover book.
